At its 90th anniversary, Yew Chung Yew Wah Education has inaugurated a broad scholarship programme aimed at recognising and celebrating academic excellence and talent. The award categories underscore our school motto: Align with Science and Technology, Culture and Arts, Love and Charity. They will recognise students' academic and leadership skills as well as their level of community engagement.
After a long period of rigorous selection and careful examination since the application was open, we have finally determined the winner of three awards.
We are pleased to announce the student Scholarship winners for the academic year 2023-2024. We would like to congratulate all the students who applied for scholarships and thank them for their dedication and hard work.
There are three Scholarship categories being awarded.
The first scholarship category is the Madam Tsang Chor Hang Memorial Scholarship, which is our most prestigious scholarship. This scholarship is awarded to students who have demonstrated a high level of academic achievement and embody the core values that Madam Tsang held at the heart of our mission principles and practices: a mastery of English and Chinese, and a commitment to character development. They are also actively involved in the life of the school, contributing, serving, and leading themselves well. This award is given to students who have challenged themselves and continue to learn and grow, in all areas of their holistic education.
The second scholarship category is the IGCSE and A Level Award, which is awarded to students who have excelled academically, demonstrated Yew Chung Yew Wah's core values, shown leadership, and pursued a holistic education. These students are positive contributors to our school community.
Lastly, the YCYW Subject and Talent Award is awarded to students who have excelled in a particular subject or talent. Successful candidates must also have demonstrated Yew Chung Yew Wah's core values, which includes an emphasis on character development.
We are proud of all our scholarship recipients and want to commend them on their achievements. We would also like to thank every member for their personal contributions to the journey of these students. It takes both students with talent and ability, as well as our community of hard-working educators to support these students in their personal growth. A very big thank you to our whole YWIES Community Team!
Please join us in congratulating the Scholarship winners!
